Bass is the cornerstone of the band, It’s a constant driving force that can pivot and turn a progression in any direction. I absolutely love the 4,5,6 and upright or double bass! Sixty years of joy, time really does fly. I thank God for the opportunity to play music!
Solo Bass
In addition to the function of the bass, the melodic solo aspect has become very prevalent. I am very influenced by bass players in past years that stepped out to the front line with improvisation, I absolutely couldn’t resist going there myself, playing melody and solos.
